Confirmation speed

Paymos accepts USDT and USDC on Avalanche. The payer spends AVAX on the network fee and the invoice itself in a stablecoin; the merchant is credited the stablecoin, in full, in the token that arrived.

Supported assets on Avalanche

Avalanche accepts USDT and USDC. USD1, DAI and XAUT are not routed over it. AVAX has one job in this flow — it pays the network to move the stablecoin — and it never appears in the amount the merchant is owed.

The asset and the network are chosen together. USDC on Base or on Ethereum is a different route, and sending it there leaves the Avalanche invoice unpaid.

How an Avalanche payment works

  1. The merchant creates an invoice through checkout, Payment Links, POS, a CMS plugin, Low-Code SDK, or REST API.
  2. The customer selects USDT or USDC on Avalanche.
  3. Paymos assigns a dedicated deterministic address.
  4. The customer sends the exact displayed amount on the specified network.
  5. Paymos detects the transfer and waits for Avalanche to finalize the block carrying it.
  6. The confirmed stablecoin is credited to the merchant balance; the AVAX spent on the fee is gone to the network.

HMAC-SHA256-signed webhooks report each status change, which ties the on-chain payment to the order without a merchant-operated chain scanner.

Avalanche confirms at network finality

No single completion time covers every Avalanche payment. Avalanche finalizes on its own, and Paymos waits for that finalized state rather than for a block depth that grows with the invoice — a hundred-dollar order and a ten-thousand-dollar order clear under the same rule.

Fulfil on the Paymos invoice status. A wallet broadcast reports that a transaction left, which is a different fact from a payment that has settled.

AVAX gas and Paymos fees

The AVAX side of the transaction belongs entirely to the payer's wallet and to the network. It changes with conditions on the chain, so no fixed amount is quoted here, and a wallet holding stablecoins but no AVAX cannot send them at all.

Paymos covers the network cost of accepting and consolidating the payment. Standard pricing is 1.0% per settled invoice; Enterprise pricing is 0.3% on request. There is no setup fee, monthly fee, minimum volume, reserve, rolling reserve, or charge for unpaid, expired or cancelled invoices.

Same-asset settlement

The merchant is credited the stablecoin the customer sent — no automatic swap into another asset, and no processing charge concealed inside a rate.

Balances are held per asset rather than per network, so an Avalanche receipt strengthens the same USDT or USDC total as every other chain. On withdrawal, the merchant selects an available payout network and a whitelisted destination.

Paymos adds no processing commission to withdrawals. The selected payout network can carry a network fee, disclosed before you confirm and subsidised — the amount is smaller than the send costs.

When to enable Avalanche

Enable Avalanche when customers already hold USDT or USDC there and keep AVAX for the fee. Adding it costs one setting, not a second integration or a second reconciliation process.

Do not choose the network for the customer from a generic speed or fee claim. The practical route is the one where the correct stablecoin and the native token to move it sit in the same wallet.

Outgoing transactions are signed on isolated infrastructure. Withdrawal whitelisting separately restricts payout destinations.

Which assets can Paymos accept on Avalanche?

No. Same ticker, different network — the invoice is closed only by USDC that crossed Avalanche.

How long does confirmation take?

There is no guaranteed fixed time. The requirement is the same at every invoice size — Avalanche's own finality — and how quickly it arrives is the chain's business.
